Locker Simulator: Lock Practice Privacy Policy

Locker Simulator: Lock Practice (the “App”) is a practice tool for rotary combination locks. You enter the combination of your own school locker or padlock, and the App walks you through the technique on a realistic dial until you can open it without thinking. It is built to work entirely on your device.

The short version: we do not run servers, we do not create user accounts, we do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and the combination you enter never leaves your phone. The only third party involved is RevenueCat, which manages in-app subscriptions.

The App does not collect, transmit or store on any server:

• Your combination, your practice statistics or your settings.
• Your name, email address, phone number or any account information (there are no accounts).
• Your precise or approximate location. The App does not request location permission and never asks which school, building or locker your combination belongs to.
• Your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, health data or any other data from other apps.
• Usage analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers or behavioural tracking data.

The combination you type in is the point of the App, and it is also the most sensitive thing the App holds. It is saved in the App’s private storage on your device, alongside your other settings, and it is never transmitted anywhere — not to us, not to RevenueCat, not to Apple.

We never ask what the numbers open. The App has no field for a school, a locker number, an address or a name, so the digits it stores are not tied to anything in the physical world. You can change or clear the combination at any time in the App’s Settings, and deleting the App removes it.

A practical note for parents: nobody else gains a way to read the combination, but anyone who can unlock the phone can open the App and see it, in the same way they could read a note stored on the device. Keep the device locked with a passcode.

The App requests no system permissions at all. It does not use the camera, microphone, photo library, location, contacts, notifications or health data.

The clicks you hear come from sound files bundled inside the App, and the taps you feel come from the device’s haptic engine. Neither requires permission, and both can be switched off in the App’s Settings.

Everything the App does — the dial, the physics, the guidance, the sounds, the timer — runs on your device with no network connection. The App makes no requests of its own: nothing is downloaded, no configuration is fetched, and nothing is reported back to us.

The only network traffic the App produces comes from Apple’s in-app purchase system and RevenueCat, described below, and only when you open the paywall, buy a subscription or restore a purchase.

The following data is stored locally, in the App’s sandbox on your device, and nowhere else:

• The combination you entered, the lock type (0–39, 0–49 or 0–59) and whether it has three or four numbers.
• Your practice statistics: how many times you have opened the lock and your best time.
• Your settings, such as dial colour, sound, haptics, guided or solo mode and timer length.
• Your subscription status, cached so that Pro features keep working offline.

Entering a new combination in Settings overwrites the old one. Deleting the App removes everything it stores — combination, statistics and settings — from your device. There is nothing on our side to delete, because nothing was ever sent to us. Your purchase record stays with Apple and can be restored after reinstalling the App.

The App is free to try with a guided tutorial. Practising your own combination and the other Pro features require an auto-renewing subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details.

To validate purchases and unlock features across reinstalls, the App uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user identifier, your App Store purchase receipt, and basic device information (device model, OS version, app version, locale). This is the minimum information needed to confirm that a subscription is active. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, your combination or your practice data.

The App is a general-audience tool, rated 4+. It is used by students, by parents helping them, and by anyone with a combination padlock. Whatever the age of the person using it, the App behaves the same way and collects the same amount of information about them: none.

There are no accounts, no sign-in, no messaging, no user-generated content, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking, and the App gives no one — child or adult — any way to send personal information to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and since we collect none from anyone, there is nothing about a child for us to hold, use, disclose, sell or delete. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information to us, email us and we will delete anything we find.

The one thing the App keeps about a student is the combination they type in, and it stays on their device, as described under “Your combination” above.

Purchases are made through the Apple Account signed in on the device. Parents can require approval for every purchase using Ask to Buy, or block in-app purchases entirely in iOS Settings › Screen Time. If a child has started a subscription without permission, contact Apple Support to request a refund.

Because we hold no personal data about you on any server, requests to access, correct, export or delete your data are fulfilled entirely by you, on your device, as described above. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in California law. We never have, and there is nothing for us to sell or share.

Your combination and settings are stored in the App’s private container, protected by iOS sandboxing and your device passcode and encryption. Communication with RevenueCat and Apple uses TLS.

No app, device or transmission can be made perfectly secure. We keep the risk low by holding as little as possible and keeping it on your device, but we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your device updated and locked with a passcode.

If we change how the App handles data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be described in the App Store release notes for the update that introduces them.
